Pay Too Much Money
I feel we pay to much money with the Sims 4 Game to have all these glitches and issues that we have. Your games aren’t cheap if you total how much we spend all together. We love playing the Sims 4 ...
Why does my Sims 4 keep doing this when I press the play button
@Precious1967 I am so sorry your game is not working. It is very frustrating when you just want to have fun and then it doesn’t work. I am just a player like you and I want to help you as much as I can. Would you please start by confirming if you changed the The Sims 4 folder into a different name? Then did you launch the game and allow it to make a completely new folder? If yes, is that when you tried to play that household in the picture above ... and it froze on you?
I honestly did make a new folder and I check my MODS over and over again, even deleted some. I added a little at a time the game was working added some more still was working then I added the rest and it started doing this but is anyone having problems with ? I think that’s the problem.
@Precious1967
Certainly part of your mods is already incompatible with the game. After each patch you have to remove some mods and download new versions and you never know what will be broken next time.
But EA is not responsible for the mods. Mods creators are responsible.
For now, move your mods folder to desktop. Delete localthumbcache.package file in game folder and fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library - right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
Turn on the game to create new mods folder.
Copy and paste one by one your mods from desktop to new mods folder.
Every time check if the game works.
If the game will not work, delete the mod that caused it and wait for new, not broken version of this mod. This is the price for using mods. Checking them after every patch
I don't work for EA
That’s what I’ve been doing. It has taken me a hour to work through it to see what works and what doesn’t.
