    HI pennamepercy​ 

    have you tried removing the female tag ? Sometimes certain count as new although they are not visible for the current gender tag.

Thank you, this helped. The yellow highlights disappear and stay gone when I leave and re-enter CAS mode within the same save file. I had to restart my game, but now the highlights are gone even when I start a new save file.
