Pets do not eat or use litter box.

I'm on PC, Windows 10. No mods. Game version 1.106.148.1030.

Pets often won't attend to their needs even when told to do so. They sit right in front of their food bowl and act like it's empty or act like the litter box is dirty when it is clean. Sometimes they will eat when called to the food bowl, but sometimes I have to restart the game. When I do have to restart, the save loads up with an empty bowl and the pet is no longer 'uncomfortable', as if they ARE fulfilling their needs but the game just doesn't register it until the game is reloaded. Sometimes I have to move the litter box to the cat to get them to use it, but sometimes I have to replace the litter box. Restarting does not fix the litter box problem.

I saw where this issue was supposedly patched a couple of years ago, but it says on the forums to post the problem as a separate thread in case it's a different problem. So here I am.
