[PH] 'Teach to say Sorry' not available for teens

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.95.207.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Seasons, Parenthood, Outdoor retread, Get to Work
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure, it showed after teen had full Conflict resolution bar and and then lost some progress due to some Teachable Moment. Also trait ' Scouting Aptitude' was gained in that time.
What happens when the bug occurs? Parents cannot perform 'Teach to say Sorry' and 'Teach to say Please a Thank you' to the teen daughter (the option is missing). It works for another child, toddler. Both parents had 10 Parenting and has 'Role model' trait.
What do you expect to see? It is possible to perform 'Teach to say Sorry' and 'Teach to say Please a Thank you' to the teen.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have a problem with 'Teach to say Sorry' and 'Teach to say Please a Thank you' interactions. For both parents it is not possible to perform these interactions to the teen. It is possible, however, to the another child - toddler.

  • @Rayettka When you say it's not possible does that mean the option is missing or does nothing happen when you use it ?

I'm not 100% sure but I think it does not show up for them and that's a design choice. .. bit like if they haven't learned by then, they probably won't anyways.

  • Hi,

the option is missing. This option was available with sibling teens.

  • With another teen. Now, she is young adult. When she was teen, it was possible to use from both parents to 'Teach to say Sorry' interaction.

@Rayettka I've been asking/googling around a bit and all I can find is that it's not available for teens so maybe it was a mod that gave you the ability before and now that you remove them it's gone ?

@crinrict Hey crin I noticed teens had it but I think the 31/1 (or 1.95) Patch removed it as it shouldnt have been there.

I'm finding reports from 2019 saying it's not there so maybe it was there at some point and then got removed cause it was a bug.

@gooochyeee I can't remember ever seeing this for teens, neither that or teaching Please and Thank You. I've only seen the option on children and toddlers. Is it possible you had a mod that allowed that option on teens?

    Best regards,
    Jennifer
