Pop-Up for age up too large for screen/Check mark missing

After my infant ages up, the trait selection popup appears but I cannot continue the game.
There is no confirm button visible and the screen gets stuck.
Pressing Enter, Escape, clicking outside the window, or scrolling does nothing.

Platform: Mac
Mods installed: No

Changing the in-game resolution fixed the issue.
The confirm/check mark button appeared after I changed the resolution in the graphics settings. thank you❤️

It looks like the pop-up is too big for your screen.

Did you play around with the UI scale ? Can you try if making changes there helps with the issue ?

Yes, I tried switching to windowed mode and changing the UI scale, but the confirm button is still missing and I still cannot continue.

Have you selected Scaled Resolution under System Settings > Displays ?

Resolution: Default
I am using the default display setting, not scaled.

What's the default for that ? Can you check in the game what resolution is selected there under the graphics tab ? Does it make a difference if you change it ?
