Problem with wall heights

Can I have two SEPARATE houses with DIFFERENT wall heights on the SAME property?  I’ve tried everything to build a cute little guest house in the garden of the big house but I can’t build two houses with different wall heights it seems. The guest house has to have the same wall height as the big house and it’s so annoying. Anyone has the same problem? When I try to edit the wall height it automatically does it to all walls on the property and I can’t change it. Please help me haha.

  • @madsilvermoonAs @jpkarlsen pointed out it is not possible to have different wall heights but you can use different foundation heights.
To create an even greater difference you can also use te terrain tool to heighten the grounds of the main house, or lower the grounds of the guest house to emphasise the use of the properties.
    Have fun playing 😉

  • I have recently learned of this limitation and, like the OP author, I find it frustrating.

But more than it being a frustration over the limitation itself (which can be circumvented by not building what you want, but what you can), I find myself frustrated by WHY the limitation is there to begin with. WHY is the game unable to distinguish between separate buildings, when it clearly can distinguish between rooms?

Is it because it considers the entirety of each floor of the lot as single rooms? I wish someone could explain to us the governing architecture and why it is so rigid!
