Question about front door

Is a front door only able to be on the first floor?

 

I downloaded a winter cabin from the gallery. The first floor is 90% buried by earth and is more of an above ground basement with a side door.

 

I been trying to switch the front door to the actual front door which is on the second floor, but the option isn't even showing up.

 

It would be easy enough to remove the first floor and make it a basement, but that would mean having it completely underground and ruin the aesthetic of it.

 

I'm hoping there's a way to allow me to have the front door be on the second floor.

    okaba080​ could you post a screenshot of the lot showing both the door that the game keeps trying to make the front door and the door you want to be the front door.  And also, what is the venue of the lot?  Residential, Vacation Rental, Residential Rental, etc.?

    Since you said this is a winter cabin, I assume it has a front porch.  One thing you can try is, with MOO on, move the door to the front edge of the porch, then go to live mode to see if the option to designate the door as the front door is there.  If it is, then designate the door as the front door, then go back to build and move it back to where it was.  If it is not there, then try picking another door from the catalog and check if that has the option.  And finally, if there is another way into the basement, then you could just delete the side door and the exterior stairwell.
