Rapid cemetery and mourning/pet issue

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
What is your current game version number? last one with updates
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but lovestruck and couple kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Rapid growing cemetary. Winderburg, Fyres house has rapid cemetery growing next to them. 2 of them Fyres, rest are random sims. Looks like Fyers being killed so game can add horses and cats in their family. I had horses added randomly even in lots that didn't had places for jogging.
What happens when the bug occurs? Visiting sim can't do anything but keep wanting to mourn for dead. All choices keep canceling out.
What do you expect to see? I don't want my sim to mourn for sims he didn't even knew.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I hope there's option where horses and pets can be stopped from appearing in random households.

  • @lihtaruk You can turn off adding horses and pets to households in the neighborhood stories settings. You can learn more about neighborhood stories here:

    https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/neighborhood-stories-system

If you feel deaths are happening too frequently, you may also want to turn off deaths in neighborhood stories as well. Then Sims will only die from old age (unless you turn off npc aging) or effects that happen in game while you play (emotional deaths, weather deaths, etc).

If you don’t want your Sims to keep mourning for the dead, consider editing the lot from manage worlds and deleting the tomb stones.

Those tombstones not in the lot, there's no way for me to move them. And they keep adding up, for some reason all of the sims in this neighborhood like to run there during bad storms. Thanks for reminding me about gameplay options. For some reason, I thought ,I already switched them off together with dust bunnies. Guess have to double check again. I have gameplay with no neighbors aging on their own. This way my kids and teens aging up with cake together with their friends at parties. They can also can go to University together. Very convenient for high school sweethearts.

Wish things like this were part of gameplay, instead of having to do it manually each time.

I also keep getting carrot skinned sims in all my neighborhoods. In RL I saw African people once , that had dark purple, almost eggplant, skin tone. I think I still be surprised, if I see hem again. And I have yet to see orange people. It's annoys me for some reason. It also kind of off setting when you look into worlds and each of the families doesn't have any family resemblances-  it's like random adult was put with random kids. Even in classic families like Langraab.  Not look or even skin tones matching. There's no way to say who's kids and who's parents. I wonder if there any gameplay options for that?

I guess I'm nagging because there's talk about Sims 5, and I yet to be happy about Sims 4. It's still not playable without cheat codes. Maybe if I leave my 5 cents here, it'd become something that won't show up in next version.
