Re: Banquet Tables - Why only roast chicken...

@TabrisElfLover I'm trying to find more information on this, and will edit an update in if I do, but unfortunately, since I own both the wedding pack and the Luxury Party stuff pack, which also come with similar banquet tables I'm not positive if the options I see are affected by owning the other packs. With that in mind, though, I can tell you that this is what I see for options when hovering over the high school pack's banquet table in my game:
Initial pie menu:

...next level of that pie menu if you choose 'Serve Food...'

2nd level of the 'Serve Food' pie menu options:

Do you have Mods or CC, and if so did you test with them and the localthumbcache.package file removed to see if that makes any difference?

If you like to throw parties or any social gathering those tables are a lifesaver. (Throwing a birthday or dinner party in Sims used to make me insane!) I waited to try the wedding pack so I never experienced the bad bugs it released with, but I love it now! I think it's well worth the price of the Luxury Party Stuff pack just to get those tables if you ever want to have your guests in this game be happy. 😂

@SheriGRI do have mods but they're not effecting the tables. Like I said in first post, I had Wedding Stories before refunding it, and I had more options for the banquet table during the time I had it. I don't have Luxury Party either, so the only options that come up for me is Serve Food or Serve Assortment and clicking on either just results in Roasted Chicken. NPC Sims by default will approach the table and just set up Roast Chicken on it. Nothing else.
So I'm forced to believe that is the base default if you have no other packs, which sucks. I may look at Luxury Party at least, cause Wedding Stories is still too broken in my opinion to be worth the money.

@TabrisElfLover Interesting. Yes, especially if that stuff pack is on a holiday sale, it may be something to consider. It was enough to drive me to drink trying to have a party before I got that pack! Even if I make the food ahead of time and have it in inventory and can just fill it with what I have that helps a lot. Oh my goodness... to only have roast chicken as a banquet table option sounds very much like a rl high school banquet table!😂 Sorry, I just couldn't resist stating that thought! 😁
