  • Thanks, @SheriGR - I’ve already tried all of that, though (even tried enabling mods to see if MCC might help), but stinky llama is still unwashable. ☹️

Do you think it might be because he + his shed are located on a veterinarian lot?

@elvici I have two sheds (one llama and one cow) on a veterinary lot where I have a big family living. I never had that issue there. However, it could be related, since living on a vet lot is a type of 'workaround', as is adding farm animals, I have assumed.

I did have an issue on another lot in which I had MOO/alt-placed a shed for a llama and had a gate opening to the left of the shed (left when facing the front of it) and I think I was maybe one tile short of the green allotted area for the shed. I found there was an action I could not get to pull up at one point (maybe clicking on him to pet/feed/clean?) when he was in that area of the fenced area, he got glitchy (don't fully remember in what ways). I have a friend who had downloaded the lot (I made it) and he never had that issue. I re-situated the area and re-uploaded the lot to the gallery to address it, though, and I never had the issue reoccur. The changes I made was to make sure the allotted area for the shed was fully within the fenced area, that I placed it with MOO off and where it snapped to with no alt-adjustments, and that there was also no overlap with the allotted area for the gate to open or with the chicken coop.

Does your sim have a good relationship with the llama? Can another household sim clean the llama/get the option? Were you able to clean it previously? Is your sim living on the lot/there every day to clean the llama & shed and feed it?

Can you share a screenshot (top-down) of your shed area (in build mode, with the grid on, and with the shed highlighted)? Also, if you would like to share your lot to the gallery I would be happy to test it in my game:

    Spoiler
You could name it something like "llama shed test". Then please add a comment in this thread to let me know the name, and please let me know if your User ID in the gallery is different than it is here in the forum.

Another possibility is that the llama itself is just bugging out for some random reason that has no foundation. If that were the case and resetting the shed and llama is not helping, you could delete the shed, save and leave the lot, then re-enter the lot and add a new shed and buy a new llama for it.

  • Ahh - I bet that's it. I have the shed hanging off the end of the lot (it seems to work fine in every other respect, but that llama is stubbornly refusing to wash, even though he loves my vet like mad).

Thanks so much, Sheri! I'll try moving the shed someplace else + see if that works.   🙂

@elvici I downloaded and placed your clinic. I then had my vet Sims purchase it. They also 'lived' in it. (Interestingly, the beige llama automatically came with the lot apparently!) There was the option on the coop to purchase chickens, though it came with 4 that appeared in the fenced area as expected, but on the shed the only interactive interaction I get with the llama is to 'call over beige llama'.

Your shed was placed mainly outside of the lot, which I believe was the issue, per my previous post:

I tried a lot of things, and none of my tricks fixed the llama, and I could not get the pie menu option to clean the poor dirty, bugged out llama.

In the end this is how I got the 'clean' option back:

    1. I deleted the fencing around the llama area and the curved deck area to provide as close as possible to the default 'footprint' of the shed (the green area it requires to be set on).
    2. I moved the coop to the other end of the back yard.
    3. I deleted the shed, which put the llama and shed into the household inventory.
    4. I activated MOO, since the shed's footprint is still larger than the cleared out area provides.
    5. The llama could not be re-added to the lot, but I was then able to re-add the shed to the lot. I placed it 1/2 tile into the lot's grid area (see screenshot) to provide close to the amount of space the footprint wants.
    6. In live mode I then clicked the shed to add a llama.
    7. I was then able to get the interaction to clean the llama in the pie menu:

You may or may not still have issues appear with the llama since the shed's footprint is still somewhat clipped and I used MOO to add the shed (please see my previous post about the issue I had on my lot before), but you could try it for a while and see what result you get. The llama should not need fencing since I don't believe they leave the lot or are threatened by any predators.

Remember that your llama will need daily care to survive and be happy. Your clinic is super-cute, btw. ❤️

  • Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to figure that out! I really appreciate it.   🙂

Bizarrely, the dirty llama issue resolved itself in my game (without reshuffling the shed/coop, etc) after Stinky Llama apparently left, and my vet bought a new beige llama. For some reason, this llama is fine with washing, shearing, etc. So strange!

Maybe the issue arose from the old llama being included with the vet clinic lot (I did move the whole lot via my gallery, from Brindleton to Newcrest).  🤨

Next time, I'll add livestock after placing the lot. Haha!

    Thanks again. You're a star!  ❤️

@elvici Thank you for your kind words! You are very welcome! Yes, I was really surprised that the animals came with. But funny thing is that the chickens came with and they seemed to do fine. Glad he was able to leave, though, and you could re-purchase a new one!
