Re: Gallery missing news feed

I am so glad I really miss seeing if anyone has commented on my gallery stuff, downloaded anything of mine, if someone that I am following has uploaded anything cool, or just checking if EA has liked a build. I really hope the News Feed comes back soon cause it is really annoying without it!!! PLEASE EA FIX IT FASTER!!! ☹️ ☹️ ☹️

Hi guys! Do you still have the same issue? Cant see follower or download count. Also the 'new' button completely dissapeared? I would love to know when this comes back, because im a creator

Tbh for the amount off money people have spent on this game the Sims Team is just disrespectful towards our experiences and concerns. This issue has still not been solved and it has been well over 2 months.

I love building and making NOCC and sharing them. For some people this is why they play the game! I feel saddened and frustrated by how The Sims Team is 'handling' this gallery disaster.

I also found the playful joke The Sims Team made in the patch note update from more than 3 months ago tbh very disrespectful. It was unneccesary and not appropriate. We pay HUNDREDS off euros for a game and get a sassy joke when they update us about a broken feature that is crucial to the gameplay off many Simmers. The joke:

Disgusting honestly

Stlll fed up with Ea's seeming inability to give us back the News Feed. Some feedback about this from them would be respectful for Creators who have spent a fortune on this game. The Gallery is much worse than before the so called improvement Update IMHO.

This is true, yet for all those simmers who are primarily builders, and rely on the newfeed tab and follower/downloads info parts of the gallery to promote their creations (and allow friends to share via the newsfeed), this long wait to have it fixed is disheartening, to say the least. So in theory, we are all still waiting for the fix to happen.

I am so looking forward to them having competition and having to work to satisfy their customers instead of treating us like mushrooms, as in keeping us in the dark and covering us in "you know what!"

This could seriously be the end of The Sims!

When I saw the update I was so happy until I downloaded it, and now I'm so disappointed.
Why are you doing this to us EA?
Having all these problems, you sent us to buy a new Kit tomorrow.
Do you think I want to spend more money having so many problems?

Are they still releasing more stuff than just Horse Ranch??

I would like the News Feed back before I am buying anything else. This is very annoying for me. Money making over quality and restoring much valued parts of the game.

@Aeko3You are  right of course. It would seem EA care more about money than their once loyal customers. Lack of communication will eventually cause people to leave the game. Guru communication used to be so good years ago. There is no communication now. EA can you please keep us informed on the important things like the News Feed. I do not play the game anymore because you have ruined it for Creators like me. I feel badly let down and I am a customer since the first Sims Game came out.

Into the fourth month without the news feed. Didn't realize it was such an important aspect of the game until it was gone and I miss it horribly. Please EA please fix it! 

@ReneHollyDesign1  I agree with you yet again. I personally don't think they will fix it or they are able to fix it. I hope EA will suprise me soon.

@MickRonson At the end of May when they did that gallery update it wasn't a fix for us for the gallery it was a back end fix for EA so they could pump out updates and game packs faster. It failed horribly and really messed our gallery right the heck up. It has caused more continuing glitches than it has ever had in the past. Still all people in my friends list have been given Anonymous as their names. I can now see number of friends I have now so I take it that glitch of 8 to 10 people you can follow is fixed. I can see the number of people following me beside that and it went down a bunch after May 30th but is slowly going up again. When you go into friends tab the following number isn't there at first, you have to wait for it like it is calculating?  I'm getting more followers again because I am showing my creations on different forums such as X twitter.

I think the big problem is that at the end of May there were many bullies in the gallery that were picking on some creators calling them names and trying to make them look like they were of poor character and used the news feed to do this making post of sims and saying horrible things about each individual. Some of the people being bullied quit the game for periods of time because of it. 51 victims last count I saw.  I wouldn't have known about this at all but they started telling me in my posts that certain supporters in my comments were cheaters. I wasn't pleased about this or the fact that bullying was going on in our game. I stood up for the people being bullied because everything I was told was proof was just speculation. It was like a witch hunt. I guess no one has learned from history because it was ongoing and more and more people joined in on the bullying I think because they were afraid they might be looked at next. It was crazy! I couldn't believe how may joined in like what is really the worst the bullies could do? They don't live next door and are not going to beat you up and as far as saying bad things LOL I don't mind that cause they don't matter. I was in to play a game not get caught up in the bologna they involved me in. 

If you notice you can't look far down in your comments because it gets scrambled, also in peoples posts if you check to see what others thought of the post you can't go far it scrambles. I think this also might be an effort to stop bullying. In my profile these people tried to make me look bad for sticking up for the ones they called cheaters and I answered them. They didn't come out of it well and blocked me immediately. LOL Those posts are still there but you can't see them now cause they get scrambled. So when the gallery update happened I think the news feed was taken out to stop the bullying so we all got punished for their actions. These bullies involved me I didn't look for it. I still don't understand why they saw no repercussions for what they did. Instead we all got punished and have no news feed.

EA  I'm not trying to  be a troll, bait or flame. I am not deliberately trying to cause an argument by making sarcastic, off-topic, rude or disruptive posts, and discussions. I'm keeping it on-topic and not changing the topic of the thread which is gallery problems and why don't we have a news feed and I think what I said is relevant.

@ReneHollyDesign1  Thanks for all that information. I had no idea about any of this stuff. I never experienced any bullies myself. They are however all over YouTube and other Forums. I just ignore them now. Thanks so much for all this. You have made sensible points which EA should take notice of.

@kl_pa_tra  What I stated in my last post is what I know happened before the May 30th update. Trying to figure out why EA will give us no information it seems to me this could be the reason.

The scrambling of posts started well after the original update that broke the gallery so it seems they can add features that could be used towards anti-bullying. I wonder if making followers anonymous could be included? I know the total downloads section is missing too and that has something to do with why the bullying started and saying certain people were cheaters because they were popular. All so ridiculous like your total downloads will matter when you move to another game. While nice to see they have no value.

But seriously it's almost 4 months. It seems like it is being held back for some reason and this is the only reason I can think of. I wonder if a glitch can remove an entire section of the gallery because the news feed is definitely removed just like it was erased.

I am hopeful EA does fix our news feed and soon. I love seeing the amazing finds that my friends check out too. When the news feed is used for it's intended purpose it's so fun. That's why we all miss it so much.
