@squidhopA few thoughts:

• What qualifies for sale: I believe it does need to be a prepared meal to sell with no helpings taken out. When he 'summonses' a sandwich it may not be a prepared meal, plus it may be required that he prepare it not 'summon'. Sorry, I didn't know what that meant as I have never done that aspiration. I have, however, built and run stores to sell prepared food and produce in.
• Set for sale: You can just set a a few items in the store for sale if that's what's needed to open the store -- it does not matter what they are, almost anything is fair game. (Just apparently not that sandwich!)
• Vending machines for owners & customers: I have also added the vending machines to my store sometimes so the employees and owners can eat from them while there. Customers may also, I don't remember for sure. I also usually add a coffee machine coffee for this purpose.
• I didn't think you needed anything outside the 'Lice Cold Freezer' for sale, but if your item you added to it is not eligible to sell it would not count anyway. As soon as you add your platter of food/meal to the freezer it is automatically marked for sale. Also, you can add fruits & veggies to the freezer and customers will purchase them. I will check on this and update here.

Edited note: I'm not sure if this is new or not but yes, I did nave to have something for sale outside of the Lice Cold Freezer in order to have the store open. Just drag a few things onto the counter if you want from the freezer and they will already be 'set for sale'.
