It genuinely disappoints me that we are still on this and I hope no feelings have been hurt. I certainly know people who would be hurt by some of these reactions. I shouldn't have to tell them to avoid reading this thread.
People come here for answers about their game and experienced players give those answers in a generous spirit. We have given an answer to those that do not like the new feature... don't use it. You can't expect to remove every game option you don't like. It's called an option because it is optional. It doesn't negatively impact anyone's experience.
The game didn't have a lot of things 20 years ago when I first started playing it. It has evolved. I could see myself in it from the very first day on my old playstation, now more people can see themselves too if they want to.
As a former equal opportunities representative this really pushes my buttons. I had to reflect the people my organisation represented, our stakeholders. That's exactly what devs have done here. Not to be politically correct (trust me I know politics first hand) but to accept that the players behind their success are all different. The way it's been done means you can take it or leave it.
It's 2022, we can be anything we choose so let our Sims be the same. I mean if werewolves are on the way soon lets add as much of the real human experience as we can first. That was the old tagline if memory serves "Play with Life". Life has moved on. Now can we???
