You should read the description carefully.
Two YA Sims that are engaged are needed. Adding a third Sim is not needed but if added will not break the scenario.

I'm set on what the scenario description says, that and the first 3 potential outcomes are clear. But it's "Spotlight for One" I am confused by, especially since it is saying a sim who is needed is missing. 🤷🏻♀️
But I was also adding the third sim as a potential suitor for different sim in another household if the Rom-Com couple should figure things out and end up going for the Rom-Com Happy Ending.
In the fourth outcome one of the original engaged couple must be a comedian while the other must be either deceased or have moved out and thus missing.

I understood the comedian goal, but somehow the phrasing of the second part of that outcome threw me. 🤦🏻♀️
