Yeah this is with a completely clean game. That’s why I am confused as to what the issue is. I know for sure I did it correctly because it prompted for the tutorial first and everything.
I'm having the same problem. I really need some help. I did everything that was stated, checked the Gameversion.txt, moved the EA folder to the desktop & that created a brand new folder, reinstalled sims, reinstalled origin. I have gotten nowhere.

Can you try a super repair - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M815
If that doesn't work I wonder whether you may need to uninstall completely and reinstall ☹️ Tried the super repair, no luck. Tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling both origin and the game but still am having the issue. Maybe a bug with the newest update? Not sure how I'm supposed to proceed from here though. I've never had an unfixable issue like this before. Thank you for your help.

Just had a thought, how are you trying to place apartments as you can't save them to the Library. Are they penthouses? No penthouses, just trying to place from the gallery. I have the lot entirely bulldozed but still get the error. I've tried on a couple of different buildings with no luck.

Apartments cannot be saved to the Gallery. Could you give me the name of the creator and lot so I can check in my game? Yeah it's simlicy. I believe they're saved as rooms. I have placed them in game before and never had any issues until now.

Thanks, so you're placing rooms not apartments? Which rooms, can you please give me the names? And is this in a San Myshuno apartment? Which apartments have you tried, all of them? The Zenview ones are broken if you bulldoze them - never bulldoze an apartment! Use the sledgehammer tool instead. I'm trying to place this one: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/BDE4F53B359511EB83A1F8716E6D1AC6?category=all&searchtype=ea_origin_id&sortby=newest&time=all&searchquery=simlicy&max=50&maxis=false
At 2B Jasmine suites which is where it was built. So I line it up perfectly and everything like I've always done but it's giving me the error every time. I'll try the sledgehammer and see if that makes a difference.
Tried with the sledgehammer but still getting script call failed

Thanks 🙂 I managed to place it ok so it maybe that apartment block for you. You could always force a re-download of San Myshuno to try and fix the apartment block - https://bluebellflora.com/2020/06/17/repairing-sims-4-packs-in-origin/ Hmm, so strange! I followed your guide and forced the re-download but still am getting the script call failed error. ☹️

Really odd. I didn't even have to enable MOO to place it. Do you want to upload your save to a file sharing site and PM me the link so I can test in my game? I think I actually figured it out. It seems to be an issue only with apartments that use Snowy Escape, which I don't own yet. Instead of just replacing the items as it usually would it just won't place the apartment at all. So maybe something that will be fixed in a future patch or something.
- @HaileyinSimsland
I don't think so. That would only apply to items which are pack specific and they wouldn't be loaded.
From reading the comments in the Gallery it looks like others are having problems with it too, it seems to be that lot. Is your game patched up to date? Yeah that's what I thought too, but that's the only difference between the apartments that aren't working and the ones that are. Maybe something with her files that include snowy escape, at least the two I've tried. Yes my game is completely up to date 🙂

I'm going to go ahead and move this to General Discussion & Feedback as it's not Mac specific. Great work narrowing it down to a possible Snowy Escape issue 🙂
