Re: Sims cannot cook or put away food. Infants cannot eat baby food

I downloaded the lot from the gallery. My initial thought was that maybe the builder placed objects incorrectly with MOO as sometimes when I download a lot from the gallery, for some reason many of the builders will cause routing issues because of how they decorated the room. I removed the cabinets, any wall decor in the kitchen and moved the counters, stove and fridge to see if anything was inside them with MOO. Yet, still nothing. My sim still acts like there is no where to cook when she grabs ingredients out of the fridge. Yet, she can make salad without an issue but cannot put the salad back into the fridge. It is so bizarre.

What is the lot venue?  Residential, Residential Rental, Haunted Residential or Residential Apartment?  If is residential rental, there are issues with some of the lots on the gallery where there are some tiles a sim can't use causing a route block.

Is there a problem with the stove?  Sometimes sims get interrupted while cooking and leave a dish in the oven which prevents using the oven from then on.  Replacing the stove also doesn't fix that at times either.  That doesn't explain why you can't put things in the fridge though.

Do you have any problem placing objects on the counters in build mode with MOO off?  I could be an invisible object blocking a countertop.  I doubt that is the case though, but something to look at.

    Hope this helps.

  • The venue is Residential. There are no issues with putting objects on the counter in build mode nor live mode. There is nothing inside the oven.

I appreciate your help. I have tried these before.

Ok.  I have thought of one more thing you can try.  Try using the point-to-point wall tool to redraw the walls of the kitchen.  Just to make sure the game sees the space as one room and has no invisible dividers.  If it's something with a floor tile, that should be fixed too.  It'll wipe out the wall paint and maybe floor tiles but those are easily replaced.  Other than that, I'm out of ideas for you.

    Hope this helps.
