Rent trailer/caravan without the For Rent pack

Hello

Apologies if this post is in the wrong place, can anyone help with this please?

I am building a 2 trailer/static caravan plus a communal laundry room space on a lot in the eco lifestyle world. I haven't done this type of build before, my sims have always had houses of some description to live in and i now wanted a different kind of home for them.

So i am half way through the build and have finished one of the trailers and the laundry room and then it dawned on me, how am i going to get my sim to live in one of the caravans and only have the bills relating to that caravan and not the whole lot. Will i be able to have another sim to live in the other caravan and pay their own bills for that caravan {either another sim of my own or a townie/someone else's sim}.

I don't have the For Rent pack so does the game have the option to have your sims rent a build without that pack? The lot type is still marked as residential, do i need to change it to something else?

Thank you for reading, have a great weekend.

Lin  🙂

@Celticrose67  The fire prevention system utility panel is in the same place as the smoke alarms, it needs a bit of space around it to fit it on a wall. If you go to the kitchen section of the build catalogue and choose the smoke alarm icon it will take you to them. Their category in the build catalogue is in the Electronics section.

I find them essential if I'm having Sims on the lot that I'm not controlling. There's a bit of random cooking and BBQing goes on in my game. (To the point I want to chase them away from appliances waving a Spatula at them!)

I'm attaching an image of it.
