Repairing game

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask a general question and seek some feedback. I have repaired my game a few times and I just wanted to find out what this actually does. Is it okay to have repaired the game a few times? I did it the first time as sims were stuck which resolved the issue and the second time after installing lots of packs.

Many thanks in advance.

    Hi @ShadowBramble,

Repairing your game simply revalidates all the files that you downloaded from EA, and replaces any that returned unexpected values during the check.

Typically the issues we see with repairing are related to Mods/CC you may have installed.

Hi @EA_Cade - thanks so much for your help. I don’t have any Mods/CC installed and since repairing a few times the game is working great. I just wanted to confirm with you whether it’s ok to have repaired the game a few times? Many thanks.

@ShadowBramble Do you mean is it okay that you’ve frequently needed to? That might indicate you have a bad mod or a storage issue on your computer; solving the underlying cause may serve better than just repeatedly repairing. But repeatedly redownloading files hurts nothing other than possibly your internet speed while doing so. 🙂
