Save Size shrinks

Hi, 

I noticed that my save size shrinks whenever i press save as... Its mostly around 6MB. Is this normal? 

Wenn i pressed save it did not changed the save size so much until today. 

I only played 15 minutes and then saved and closed the game.

Now Slot_00000003.save.ver0 has 83Mb while Slot_00000003.save has 69MB 

I only did gameplay with the Ward family for this few minutes.

I have a very annoying bug that forces me to keep an eye of everything to not destroy my save so i would really like to know what the game is deleting here or not saving in that case.

    @Sumchen  Yes, that’s normal. In fact, you’ll find it’s likely with any file type, not just Sims game saves, especially if you’ve been repeatedly making edits.

    Thank you for the answer. 

    I think your answer only is about the "save as..." question ? 

    Because otherwise, it does not seem normal since the new small save is corrupt now. 

    Thats why my question also was if someone can tell me what Data the game is deleting / not saving. 

    Also like i said i kept an eye on the file size and this never happened before wirh such a big difference so its weird to me how tjis is normal, when it never happend before after only playing a few minutes and not changing anything in CAS or build mode.

    Save file sizes of 85MB and 69MB is not really normal and may be bloating unnecessarily but it depends on the individual's play style. There have been bugs related to this since the game was launched 10 years ago.

    Slot_00000003.save.ver0 is a backup of the Slot_00000003.save save file.

    If you upload your massive save to a file sharing site and PM me the link I can test it 🙂

    Sure if you want to i can try that as soon as i am Home again. 

    Sorry for the Late Response, i did not get a notification or didnt saw it. 

    But i have the orange exclamination bug again now in the save and the game size shrinks more and more because of the lots that are deletet in willow creek i think. So if thats what you wanted to check,you dont need to. I also already klicked me too in the bug forum.
