Saved games won't load, start up screen looks like game is reset

Windows PC. Since the Jan 13th update, my game will not load properly. When the start-up screen boots, it shows the stock Sims and "unleash your imagination" tagline, as if I'd never played before. Then, when I try to load my worlds, they all appear as if they still exist, but attempting to load them triggers an error message and asks what season I'd like my world to begin in.

I've deleted my mods, repaired the game, cleared the EA app and my computer's cache, and nothing. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall the game because other players have told me it doesn't work. 

I really don't want to start over. Does anyone have any advice or context for this issue? My computer has more than enough memory and I am not willing to turn my security settings down so that any device may make changes on my computer without my consent.
