Seasons sale stalls

I have a toddler and a mother out in the winter at the ski ring. They were both hungry so I had the mother order from the stall cause there is no option for the toddler. My problem is that the mother can't even order for the toddler. Why is it that they can't order for anyone. She ordered and ate right away and then I had her order again and she was just eating it on a full hunger bar. Why can't they buy food and put in their inventory for later? Please allow this. Thanks.

    yes, I tried like four times buying and canceling but when I cancel, she puts it down and it just disappears. I bought it and cancel when the seller puts it down but the only option I had when I selected it was for her to eat it. There's no other option. I can't even pick it up and put it in her inventory. It would be nice to have that option.

    The summer stall has the "put in inventory' option. I will check the winter one again soon.

    @Joyshark The food disappearing/only option to eat was happening to me too one time I tried to buy something and take it back home for another sim. What finally worked was allowing her to "eat" and waiting for her to put it on a picnic table nearby then cancelling. With the food on the table, I got the option to put it in the inventory. Also did you try using the toddler to click on the plate to eat it?

    I agree it would be much nicer if you could buy for another sim.
