@Thehiddenreturns I'm on Xbox Series S and before that was on Xbox one. Unfortunately reinstalling doesn't fix the bugs. Uninstalling and reinstalling your packs, etc won't lose your game either. As long as they are reinstalled before you start playing, your game won't be affected. If you haven't reinstalled them before you next play you will get a warning message telling you that content has been removed. So on your console check that all your packs are installed first.
To lose your game you'd have to delete your saved data or reset your console and delete everything from everywhere.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all my packs for error codes and when my packs weren't registering as owned. It won't fix all of the bugs we have at the moment unfortunately because many players are affected and doing something with your data, packs and console won't fix that. All we can do is keep filling in our bug reports and giving as much information as possible... then crossing our fingers and hoping they get fixed.
I upgraded to a next gen Xbox last year and Microsoft warned me it wouldn't make much difference. They were right lol!
I share your frustrations. We can't use mods to fix things either sadly.

- PipMenace3 years agoHero@simsplayer818 Thanks for confirming saves are preserved on Xbox. I kept pointing out I was on a computer because while I assumed it should probably work similarly, I couldn’t say 100%
I did recently try base game on PlayStation and they really did not do a great job at the translation of the controls for console.- simsplayer8183 years agoHero
If you clear Local Saved Data from the Sims Manage Game page on the Xbox and choose "delete from console" that's the copy of the game stored on the console. By choosing delete from console it means there is still a copy on the cloud (do not hit "delete everywhere" or it wipes it). On loading up the game, it should then do a Data Synch after pressing Start, that's where the game is retrieved from the cloud. It will say Synching Data and you'll see it load from 1-100% I've done this before when I felt like it was my game or my console that was the problem, but honestly right now with all these bugs it's the game that's the problem and it's so many players affected.
