Sim can only “Pick up serving”

So I don’t do any mods but I do have the batch cook trait. It seems that on the extra batch every time I try to eat it whether it’s on the counter or in the fridge it says pick up serving instead of eat or grab a plate. Then after I click pick up serving my sim puts it in her inventory. Then I can eat it from there. It’s just a really annoying process that shouldn’t be a thing and seems like it just started with one of the most recent updates. I have almost all packs, no mods and game should be up to date if that helps. Thanks!

    I did the instant upgrade where they do all of the upgrades at once so I’m sure it is. I can double check tonight when I get back on

    @Ellet2 If it has the upgrade, you need to buy an insect farm and regularly clean the toilet.

    If you don't want that, I would sell the toilet and buy a new one.

    @Ellet2 So to recap your issues (let me know if that covers everything)

    1. Extra batch doesn't have grab a serving. This is a known bug, please me too the thread I linked earlier
    2. When baking, they put stuff away in the fridge instead of putting it on the counter. Not sure what's goingo on here. Could you test another house ?
    3. Toilet catches fire. This is due to the compost upgrade and by design.

    Yes the only other things I can think of that we really didn’t touch on that are annoying are that I never get maintenance events or emergencies for the for rent pack (they use to happen and after the first patch they completely stopped) and yes it’s enabled in my settings. And lastly the rewards store is broken. You can buy any perk and go back into the reward store and it’ll be available to purchase again so wasted so many points before I realized it thinking my memory was just bad and I forgot to purchase one of the perks and was actually double purchasing them before I figured out what was happening.
