Sim unable to interact with her spouse! :(

I spent a fair bit of time tonight making a new household and sadly my female sim can't interact with her spouse but she can interact with their two horses, their dog and surroundings. I've checked my mods folder and updated which one popped up, uninstalled sims and installed again. I've recovered my Sim file three times, deleted localthumbecache & last exception. Nothing has worked to fix the female. What can I do?
