Sims 4 Blast from the Past is completely broken after exiting without saving

Simmer12341  I have completed week 3.  You do not actually get a "time machine".  You only need to repair or replace a computer.  I don't think it matters where or who owns it.    You can put a laptop in the rain and it will break, then replace or repair.  I recall that Searching the sims 4 archives on the computer did come up after the repair, but I could be incorrect.  I also noticed a time lapse between the 1st and 2nd half of this weeks event.
