Sims 4: Can I transfer my world from Xbox One to Ps5?

So, I know with the sims 4 you can't transfer your packs from platform to platform but can I send my world/save file to another platform? (In my case Xbox One to Ps5).

I've got a three generation family on my Xbox One which is split up into 4 households, and with my Ps5 I want to continue playing with them. So, what's the best way for me to do this?

I understand I could send the households over through the gallary but that will mess up the family tree right? It won't understand these adult sims used to be sisters but are now just in different households. Plus, the first generation of my family which is dead now technically won't exist if I do it this way?

Is there any way I can move my family or world across to PS5? Please say yes!!!!

I know I can't send packs but familys too!?

I know I'm able to send them via the gallary but would this mess up the genetic family tree as the new save file wouldn't register the separate households as being one big family?

Plus would there be able way for me to get my dead sims into the family tree via sending the individual 4 households over through the gallary? My dead sims aren't one of the households, I just mean how can I get them on the family tree?

Hopefully there's someway of doing it. 🤞🤞🤞

  • @JocularDevotee9 I've merged your two posts together. Looks like one may have been caught in the spam filter.

There is no way to transfer saves cross platforms.

The only way to transfer sims cross platform is, as you have stated, through the gallery. This will break all outside relationships.

You can merge family members from the gallery one at a time, set their relationships and then move the ones you don't want in the household out into their own household.

The ghost family members can also be moved in to the family on your current save if they are in the world still and then saved to the gallery. You'd again have to set their relationships, changing their ages as necessary to accommodate the restrictions for ages of children in the CAS and move them to their own household also.

@PoptartJuniper thank you so much for the answer. I really appreciate it.

And yeah, I couldn't find the first post I had made after clicking send. That's the only reason i made another.

I'll try to do the gallery thing. It might get a little confusing because some relationships between sims are step-father and step-daughter, which I don't think CAS will let me set, but I'll try to figure it out the best I can.

Also, if you don't mind, could you answer some more questions I have?:

For my dead sims, I didn't keep their spirits alive once they passed. Is there any way you can bring them back after they're technically gone as ghosts, aka a ritual or something or are they fully gone now?

Secondly, with the changing relationship in CAS does that require any cheats? And will these cheats stop me from getting achievements? And what did you mean when you said the aging thing for CAS?

    Thanks so much again!!!

@JocularDevotee9 Unfortunately, if you released their spirits, those ghosts are gone from the game. If the ghosts are still in the game, you can ask them to join the household, then save the ghosts to the library.

Changing relationships on Sims that you add to the family using the library does not require cheats, just a lot of patience and moving and deleting sims until the family is how you want it.

Child sims must be a younger life state than parents, so if you had several ghost sims and needed to set them up as parents and children, you'd have to age down the children to set the relationships. They'd still be ghosts, just different ages.
