Sims 4 "Fresh new look" Update April 2022 has affected graphics quality

So much for the fresh new look!

Now text is hard to read and anything white can hardly be seen when browsing items. The rest of the graphics look kind of off. It's not looking great, I think it's the clarity that's not right.

The Aspirations menus are almost blurred and faint. It's like someone has written them in a pen that was low on ink. It's not my TV, that's set up just fine and there were no problems like this yesterday.

I'm not sure why this seemed like an important "improvement" given the fact that I've just had to have a forced 2 month break from The Sims because of all the crashing and the long list of bugs in this game is growing exponentially.

Unfortunately once again I find that an update has caused more problems and not fixed anything of massive importance.

I'm on Xbox Series S and already have the problem that graphics aren't being optimised for my console, only for Series X. On my break from The Sims I played games that actually were optimised for my console (that cost a heck of a lot less than The Sims) and, well...wow.
