@fashionbug123 As you stated in your report, you do use modifications. Did you try and test this issue without mods and did you also remove the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder?
I would strongly recommend these steps and test your game on a new save in order to see if this issue is game related. Then best practice is to test your mods on a new save using the 50% methode to find the culprit. Hope this will help.
