sims 4 how to buy medicine

I know there is a ready answer at the sims community website.

Find a Computer nearby in your Household. Click on it and select Order > Purchase Medicine. There's only one type of Medicine available, but it's just enough to cure your Sick Sim (or Sims). You can order more than just 1 Medicine.

But, I wanted to find out why I can't order medication at the Medicine Cabinet. I also may be confusing that since discovering purchase books option at the Bookshelf. I just don't even know how to manage living off the grid or buy from the cellphone. It's weird now since I started with parenthood. And don't know if there is an option I changed that is making this difficult. Please answer! It's bad enough I set up a custom created character to live off the grid and he is allowed to use a refrigerator. I am confused once again.

@Sefdancer4life No. It seems like most of the non food inventory items don't go bad. You can still stock your refrigerator with fish and veggies. Like I mentioned in the original problem post for some reason the refrigerator works off the grid. Off the grid shuts down all the appliances. You can still make quick snacks. But, even if you stock take out it might go bad faster. I assume.
If I am not confused more right now. And I don't have time to test. It might be that you actually order medicine by clicking the front door. As you can definitely designate a front door and lock any combination of doors. But, there is a catch to the medicine ordering at the front door. You must be very good friends with the maid. And the maid must come around often. I think that's what might have happened to my Sims.

@Sefdancer4life Might even be worse. It can also be a mailbox option. But, the option can be locked until you achieve something. Like a level or a parenting level. Beats me, right now. I can't even look at this game just from creating Sims. I haven't even played in a week and a half. That's 75%.
