@gersonswhistle  For £700, you could get a true gaming laptop, capable of running all current Sims 4 packs together on ultra graphics settings with some room to spare.  The gaming laptops in this range have (at best) an Nvidia 1650 graphics card, and the card will almost always be the limiting factor.  We're not sure how demanding future expansions will be, so the 1650 might not always be capable of ultra settings, but a mix of high and ultra setting will always be fine.

I don't know what configuration you're looking at for the Acer, but here are a couple of £700 laptops with a 1650 and 512 GB of storage:

The processor in the second one is a bit better for gaming, but that shouldn't make a difference to Sims 4.  They both have 8 GB RAM, which is enough for the game and Windows, although you may want to upgrade to 16 GB at some point for multitasking purposes.  This is cheap (maybe £40) and easy, and it usually doesn't void the warranty.

If you don't need much storage, you could save a bit of money by going with a model that has a 256 GB hard drive.  For example, this Asus has the same specs as the Acer above other than the hard drive:

256 GB is enough for Windows, Sims 4, plenty of custom content, plus however many small apps like browsers you'd want to install.  But if your work requires you to store large amounts of data locally, or you want to store other files, you may want a larger drive.

I'd be happy to take a look at any other laptops you're considering, if you want to link them.  And if the ones above aren't what you're looking for, or you have more questions in general, please feel free to ask.
