Sims not saving during creation

Question

HelloOnce a regular player of the Sims back in the past, I have now downloaded the Sims 4 to my computer to restart a hobby again.I am trying to create personalised sims, I make all the modifications that I want but when I go to save the family, the original sim appears in the gallery which was before my modifications. It is very frustrating!Any solutions? I have uninstalled and downloaded again.Many thanks!

If you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
