Sims outfit reverts

[LS] Sim from Cupid's Corner Gallery won't change after CAS edit | EA Forums - 4948226

I am having this exact issue that was reported 2 years ago. When my sim aged up I changed her outfits in CAS. They show up still in CAS but my sim just reverts to old premade outfits in live mode. When I try "change outfit" it's only the premade ones. 
Although everyone else seemed to be experiencing it with NPC Sims and Sims from Cupid's Corner. This is happening to  MY OWN SIM. This is not a gallery sim. I play on a MacBook, I have removed mods, deleted cache, I have no CC and I can't find a solution anywhere. Please help this is super annoying!
