"Some items have been removed" error after installing Life and Death

One or more Create a Sim items have been removed. The items may not be installed on your computer or the EA Account that is currently logged in does not own these items.

Every time a sim travels anywhere, I see this message. I DO NOT have any CC, nor do I use mods. I only have one EA account and the game is installed under a single account on my MBP (running Sequoia 15.0 (24A335)).

I repaired the game - and even went as far as to removed everything and reinstall. No dice.

My sim was asked to go to something called Moon Revelry by a ghost sim. The area where the festival (I assume...?) was meant to be happening was just a field surrounded by a few houses. My sim's event progress bar looked like this:

I'm sure it's obvious from that screenshot what the issue  - the event goals are missing, there's just the timer and progress bar (which obviously doesn't do anything because there are no goals).

I wasn't having any issues prior to installing Life and Death and the latest game update.

These feel like bugs to me - anyone any ideas what could be causing the issues...?

I got the item removed popup the first time I entered a lot in Ravenwood after installing L&D.  But I have not gotten it again when I visited any of the zones or lots in that world or any other world.  This is not the first time this has happened for me on installing a new pack, although I can't remember what pack it was now.  But I do remember reading somewhere that the item was a game item, a tree, that had not been tagged correctly.  It was eventually fixed but it did take a while.  I suspect the same thing has happened again with something out in the world in Ravenwood.

Since you keep getting the message, there are a couple of things you can do to try to fix it.  Repair the game, and if that doesn't work, uninstall the pack, and reinstall it.  Tbh, if it isn't fixed with the repair, a reinstall probably won't work but it is something you can try if the message continues to bother you.  You never know what will work sometimes with an error like this.

    Hope this helps.
