Critical issue: Save lost and game stuck on white screen

After the latest The Sims 4 update I started having serious issues. First I got an error related to the **bleep** mod, so I removed it and the game worked fine. The next day I opened the game and my save file had completely disappeared. I checked Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Saves and other folders but the save is gone. Now the game freezes on the loading screen, shows a white screen, and I cannot reach the main menu. The game is unplayable and I lost all progress. Please investigate this issue and advise if my save can be recovered.

    Hi aribuilds​ 

    are you using oneDrive ? Did you check there ?

    Did you remove all your mods and try a fresh folder to see if it works on a new save ?

    No, I do not use OneDrive and I was not aware of this option. I temporarily removed only the mods that were preventing the game from launching and created a new The Sims 4 folder to test — the game launched normally, but unfortunately my old save was already lost.

    So to be sure you were able to solve the second issue but not the first.

    Do you have any save files that just have a .ver save but not a save ?

    Could you maybe post a screenshot of your saves folder ?
