Star Wars Game Play - Can my SIM pick up where she left off later?

So I recently got the Star Wars pack and I have a teen SIM on vacation in Batuu and it's fun to do the missions and whatnot but I would like to be able to switch gears and send her home from vacation... however I don't know if doing so will put her back to square one if I want her to return at a later point in time? Is the progress saved that she can return to on another vacation or does it all reset back to the beginning as if she's never been there?

The Quest Progress Stays, the Currencies and Collectibles stay, and you can even use some of the stuff back home (Lightsabers for example; Assuming your sparring partner also has one), so yeah progress is saved; in fact I believe the /intended/ meta is to treat Star Wars like a "Theme Park" Trip, so doing it in spread out chunks makes sense to be honest.
