Start Planning Your Snowy Escape in The Sims™ 4!

Pack your bags, Simmers—the new Expansion Pack is heading to the mountain!

Hope you have ski boots and cold-weather gear—The Sims™ 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack* is sending a chill through the air on November 13, 2020! We’re heading to the Japanese-inspired world of Mt. Komorebi, where high-energy snow sports and relaxing slow experiences present an array of new Lifestyles to choose from. See you at the top of the mountain, Simmers!

Get Some Air

Breathe in that fresh mountain air and start working on your Sim's rock climbing, skiing, and snowboarding skills. They'll want to level up if they ever intend to explore anything bigger than the easy practice courses. Once they’ve gotten the hang of it, take the gondola up to the bigger ski runs and the climbing routes to the peak. Even wipeouts look cool up there… probably. But when Sims get really good, show off with a light-up board and the chicest snow gear.

It’s not just for adults, either. Children can ski and snowboard on the less challenging trails while parents take their toddlers sledding! It’s snow fun for everyone.

Cool Down

If your Sim crashed a few too many times and they need to recover, lean into the slower parts of life in Mt. Komorebi. Hit up the the onsen bathhouse to soak your Sim’s problems (and injuries!) away. Is there anything better than watching the steam rise into the cold night above after a long day? We didn’t think so.

Even the hiking trails just outside of town offer something new every time. Explore bamboo forests, pause to reflect at the graveyard, or visit the mountain temple with friends to get the full experience. Do remember to dress appropriately, though—depending on where you are, it sure can get cold here!

Build it Up

Rent one of the vacation lots or build your own home when you arrive in Mt. Komorebi! Find inspiration all around town for your next project, whatever it is. New features like shoji doors, tile roofs, and tatami mats lean into the Japanese inspiration behind the pack, and going forward, you can also start playing with customizable platforms! But that’s not all. Fill your home with both modern and traditional furniture options, and make sure to add a cozy kotatsu table for group meals like hot pot.

Outside, enjoy the harmony of this peaceful mountain environment. Add koi to your decorative fountains and start a rock garden under the shade of Japanese maple trees—whatever makes you happy!

So, what’s your snowy escape?

The Sims 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack arrives on November 13, 2020, at midnight in your region on Origin (for Mac and PC) and at 10 a.m. PT for Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation®4! Preorder it today to be first in line for the gondola!

@springcandy12  If you want to buy a Sims 4 pack in Steam, you also need to buy the base game in Steam.  From there, you can install through Steam and then use your Origin-bought content.  But it doesn't work the other way around: if you want to go back to just playing through Origin, you won't have access to anything you bought through Steam.

I can't find this pack on EA Desktop. That's inconvenient, to have to load up Origin again.

  • @EA_Lanna My ski boots are staying locked up indefinitely, won't be buying this garbage dlc or anymore, yous are more focused on turning a profit than making the game playable. Yous don't even have the decency to roll the patch back so we can simply play all the while you're still firing these pointless packs out that will no doubt break the game even more. No wonder yous get voted the worst company in the world year after year!
  • Sul Sul Jazzysquares here!

With Mt. Komorebi would there be a chance to tighten up your sims martial arts practice because thats one feature i would love to see! I miss it from The Sims 3 world adventures! I loved kicking and punching up that dummy until my sim maxed out!

I miss certain features from the sims 3 that i know would be a smashing gameplay option for sims 4 not only because of the graphics but the general gameplay of it too!

I love what your all doing with the game packs though and I cant wait for what the future holds! Thank you so much for the many past years of escapism and the many more years in future!

    Dag Dag!

    Jazzysquares!

    Stay Safe & Stay Simming!

  • Alright, I am not sure if anyone else has huge problem than crashing and lagging.. "Bonuses" with Snowy Escape (except crashes and laggs): Pets are sleeping all the time (even with active feature), neighbours are visiting my households (even when they have no keys and I did not posted any insertion), Sims dont do things I click them (they just ignore it), in restaurants they stop eating they meals and I literally asking why :D Why has one of the best expansion pack these problems ? Dear EA, SImGurus, please repair it. We want to enjoy Sims but you are not allowing us.

    Hi folks,

We ask that threads are kept on topic to limit muddling topics up and improve tracking feedback/issues. This thread was opened a month ago to announce a new pack that's since arrived. 🙂 This is not a discussion thread for feedback or game issues you encounter.

To share either of those, please join an existing thread on your topic or create a new one if there isn't currently one open and get the ball rolling there. It's good to keep the forum rules in mind when doing so.

I'll close this thread here to limit thread derailment in the meantime.

    Thank you.
