Sticky Fingers Aspiration issue?

Since this is a new aspiration from the timed event, I don't know if it's intentional. My sim is slowly swiping her museum pieces with the Attempt to Swipe action each day to try to earn the aspiration.  I also tried to use the Burgliate spell to steal items to speed up the aspiration, but those items aren't counting toward the aspiration.  It's still technically stealing them and they both go to my household inventory back home, so I'm not sure why the Attempt to Swipe action should be any different than the Burgliate spell in this aspiration.

Summing up the steps, I travel to the museum with my sim.  Then I Attempt to Swipe a painting or statue.  My sim succeeds and the item is moved to my household inventory and the aspiration increases the value of the item.  My sim then casts Burgliate on another piece of art.  I'm notified they succeeded and the item is moved to my household inventory.  But the aspiration doesn't increase at all.  Shouldn't it?  Or does it have to only be when you use the Attempt to Swipe action?
