Stuck at community lot

I brought my sim and their dog to a lot. I had my sim go home and now my dog is stuck at the lot and I have no access to my house or sims. I only have access to my dog who is stuck at a community lot. The whistle “call over” button is not working. How do I get my dog and my screen back to the household?

    I would try clicking on the Sim's small icon at the bottom of the screen and choosing Bring Sim Here or Switch Control to Sim.

    You could also try using the Load Game menu instead of Resume Game. Load Game should give you a choice of which household Sim starts as the active Sim.
