The Sims 4 Generation AI

there is an issue that always concerned me on sims 4.

ok consider this example. you play a new game before install and everything are new. so will be a good population of a kid, teens, adults, and elders ok?  but if you were able you npc get old you can ease get a couple and have a kid. that kid will grow up and married witch another kid that gets old either but that kid are already on a game when you start. so your grandchildren won`t get a couple because a think any npc on game married on the game and have kids. or this ir a rare thing. so in the third generation, there will be only old people on the game. indeed i realize this when i play witch more then 3 families. because nps do not get yong each time you start a new family and i see a point were only old people walking. i think that a way to solve this is just increase ramdom baby borns on game to make a population control. this will make thing more interesting. adcionaly another randon things could be add as job promotions and house moving.

  • @Lordewolf2 There are a number of ways of making the played and non-played sims 'sync' a bit more or make more sense that you may want to try:

    • The most accurate way of syncing your played and non-played households is to make played and non-played both either set to age or to not age, and to only play one household per saved game. (I know many who play this way.)
    • Play with aging off for played and non-played sims. (This is how I play.)
    • Play with aging off for non-played sims. If you ever choose to play any of them (marry one, play one of their households, etc.) that particular sim will begin to age along with their household. This way you can play your sims as aging, but none of your or the non-played households that you are not currently playing will be aging while you are not controlling them. In other words the only time any sims age is while they are currently being played by you. If you play this way with more than one household in a game-save you may want to make sure to keep rotating through your played households so they stay at a similar age range to each other.

I hope this makes sense and helps a bit. Happy simming! :eahigh_file:

  • i get the point but i want to know

not-playable sims generate kids for thyself ? or if an entire family die because of old age a new family will be generated.

i worried about everyone on the game world getting old and dying. decreasing adults population.

@Lordewolf2 I think the only 'reproducing'/getting pregnant and having babies going on is in the households you play or have played, and only when you have them 'try for a baby'. But the game should generate/spawn new households (some of which will include kids) as your sim households die off. If you look in 'Game Options' > ' Gameplay' in each game-save you should be able to choose settings like 'max sim count', lifespans, etc. There is a good description of what the different gameplay options do at this link: https://simsvip.com/2014/08/04/the-sims-4-game-options/

  • You have two options:

To push forward families to have their own on your orders, singletons as well. but that level of micromanagement can be very time consuming the more you get into it. potentially you could miss out on age ups and assigning correct traits, missing births of children to name them, deaths and so on.

The other choice is a modification called MCCC, if you set it up right, it will run families in the background and allow you to focus on your own without fear of having families grow old before they had children.

As an example; i've been running MCCC with alot of the settings on, i've been focused on this... "relationship" within the family between the young adult mother, two teenage daughters and a teenage son. They are now looking after 18 babies, it is a full time job for a few hours but that isn't the worst of it; aging up 18 babies to toddlers and looking after them! To say one could be in for a world of hurt is to miss the point on how badly things are going to go wrong or how crazy it is. This is in addition to running a second household with a few kids there as well.

Sometimes you can stick your head out of the sand and look around at what is going on in other families as well, make adjustments with CAS if needed. MCCC has been liberating from some of the restrictions and it can focus on other families while you're busy.

  • i heard about this mccc but i think is too complicated. and i guess if developers don`t care. i only can or play a new game each time or use freerealestate and populate my game wich sims of galery.

@Lordewolf2 There is also a setting to have the game "Fill Empty Homes" in each game-saves Game Options > Gameplay settings. Just play around with the types of options and do what works best for you within your gameplay style. Happy simming! :eahigh_file:
