The Sims 4 Reaper Rewards Party

I am playing the sims 4 on xbox, no mods or cheats. I have to throw a party with silver or better to get rewards for the reaper event. However no matter where, when, or what type of party I try to throw it does not give me the option to complete tasks for rewards. It just says party and the end time of 5 hours with an x to end it early. I've thrown 2 birthday parties and a house party and it never gives me options to complete tasks for rewards. What is going on?
