The Sims 4 Saving Child to Gallery without CC

So I wanted to save my child sim to the gallery as a vanilla base game sim, but the cc icon still appears even after I disabled all my mods.

I tried removing all the clothes to make sure none of my clothes were cc, I even tried randomizing the sim into a different child but the wrench icon still appeared when I tried to save so I think it's not because of clothing.

When I aged up the sim to teen for troubleshooting suprisingly, the wrench cc icon disappeared so I think the game is detecting leftover cc in the child sims' hidden skills/traits or something and not the teen age.

I want to save my particular child sim to the gallery but I can't get rid of the cc icon via CAS, do I need to remove something via the command console? I tried resetting, but that didn't work.

If theres a way to save my child sim to the gallery without the cc icon, I would like to know

If the sims has CC on them somewhere, you'll have to remove it. The easiest way is to do this... But be careful and follow it exactly... you could mess up your existing world.

Keep your CC and mods installed. Save your sim to your library, it will have the CC wrench.

    * Exit the game, and remove ALL your CC and mods. (ALL OF IT)
    * Re-start The Sims 4, and start a NEW WORLD. DO NOT LOAD AN EXISTING WORLD
    * Place the sim in a household somewhere.
    * Edit the household in CAS and re-save the sim to your library.
    * Exit the game and put all your CC and mods back in.

The second save to your library should remove all CC from the sim.
  • I saved my household with the wrench before doing anything, I disabled the custom content and script button in the options and then exited and removed the files from my mods folder clean. I placed the household with the wrench into a new world, went to cas and attempted to resave, but the cc wrench is still there. I don't have any cc clothing or hair.

When I loaded the adults, it gave me a prompt that items were removed because it didn't exist, but when i loaded the child sim specifically, it didn't give me the prompt that items were missing. I think the wrench is there because of a problem with the code. It is also specifically the child age group, when I change the sim to a toddler or a teen, the wrench goes away when I try to resave.

I want to go back to pure vanilla so is there anything I can do to completely remove everything?

@Thatmagicpanda last resort, i'm just going to age my sim up, save so that I can keep all of my skills, then age down and try to match all the clothing and face detail back as closely as I can, because I know that aging up removes the wrench. i don't think the solution to this is resaving on a unmodded game.

I aged up and aged down and that seemed to work with the unmodded vanilla game. I kept all of my skills, though relationships were reset, though I can always cheat those back if I need it. I don't know the cause of this was, but this is an unconventional way to fix my problem.

If your Mods folder was completely empty when you re-saved the sim, and you STILL got the wrench, then that sounds like a bug. That should never happen if your Mods folder is completely empty.

I suppose there is a remote chance something mod related could have been left in the cache files... you could try that too... completely empty the Mods folder, delete the cache files, place the household and re-save it.

If it still appears then, Your suggestion about aging up seems like the only resort.
