@AmakawaLazy The way things should work is, you buy the content from Epic, you launch Sims 4 through Epic once, and the content appears in your EA App game library just as if you'd bought it directly from EA. You could then install and use it while running Sims 4 through the EA App, or Steam, going forward. In practice, this kind of setup sometimes has hiccups, and I wouldn't recommend it if buying through the EA App is equally convenient.

Thank you for your reply. I have already spent money to try it out. Although I purchased the Sims4 main game from Origin, EA defaults to the Steam version, which has caused the DLC of "The SIms4" that I purchased from the Epic platform and downloaded to my computer to not play successfully. I'm currently seeking refund services from the Epic platform.- puzzlezaddict2 years agoHero+
@AmakawaLazy I understand that you'd need to play through Steam, but you should be able to download your EA App-owned packs into the Steam install. That should also include the Epic-owned packs after you launch Sims 4 once through Epic.
I realize this is somewhat convoluted, and a refund may be the best option here. But in case you can't get one, you should be able to make the setup work with some patience.
- 2 years ago@puzzlezaddict I know that. Launch through Epic to have the EA app read DLC permissions. EA download Sims4. Steam also downloads Sims4. EA can't download DLC purchased on Steam directly, you have to download it through Steam. Then I have two versions of Sims4 in my hands. The EA version of the desktop shortcut is called "The Sims 4", and the Steam version of the desktop shortcut is called "The Sims TM 4". I even linked my Epic account to my Steam account. But no matter which shortcut you use to play the game, you're going through the Steam side. Because I don't know what year it is, the upper left corner of Origin's display has the "Steam" logo and logo by default. I don't know how to change it to play through the main program on EA's side. It's not like Steam's recent home system, where you can choose your preferred version of the game. So, I gave up.
