@AmakawaLazy I understand that you'd need to play through Steam, but you should be able to download your EA App-owned packs into the Steam install. That should also include the Epic-owned packs after you launch Sims 4 once through Epic.
I realize this is somewhat convoluted, and a refund may be the best option here. But in case you can't get one, you should be able to make the setup work with some patience.

@puzzlezaddict I know that. Launch through Epic to have the EA app read DLC permissions. EA download Sims4. Steam also downloads Sims4. EA can't download DLC purchased on Steam directly, you have to download it through Steam. Then I have two versions of Sims4 in my hands. The EA version of the desktop shortcut is called "The Sims 4", and the Steam version of the desktop shortcut is called "The Sims TM 4". I even linked my Epic account to my Steam account. But no matter which shortcut you use to play the game, you're going through the Steam side. Because I don't know what year it is, the upper left corner of Origin's display has the "Steam" logo and logo by default. I don't know how to change it to play through the main program on EA's side. It's not like Steam's recent home system, where you can choose your preferred version of the game. So, I gave up.
