Trick or Treat... No interaction available

Hi all,

So I've just come across another issue. I made the holiday 'Halloween' (as you do) with the season's expansion and I've got the following 'events':

Decoration - who doesn't decorate during Halloween? :-)

Fireworks - wants to mix it in with bonfire night

Spooky Spirit - ghosts and scary things are a part of the fun

Costumes - Because again, dressing up on Halloween is fun! :-)

Trick or Treat - This is a tradition where I live and I love it!

But Trick or Treat isn't working... I've had someone come to door but all I can do is greet them? Shouldn't there be an option to give treat or trick sim? They have the 'Trick or Treat' in red above their head but I've got no interaction available to do anything...

I'm on the Playstation so I don't know if it's any different from PC, but I doubt there should be any difference...? Help!

Speak soon!

I was told by another helper that the trick or treat options do not show up on sims who do not knock on the door.  So evidently, each of your visitors must knock first before you get the options.  I haven't noticed this in my game since it only happens once a year and usually don't bother as I can usually get all my sims to get full credit for the holiday with other things I set my holiday up with.

If you are having trouble getting full credit, you might want to add another something to your holiday.  Having a ghost around helps a lot I have found.

  • @NLSutton92  Are the sims at your door in costumes.  I've noticed that you only get the option if the visitor is in costume.

  • @CGrant56 yeah, in costume. Though shortly after posting this I had two arrive in costumes and I could only use the 'trick' or 'treat' on one of them. Both were from different households as well so I don't know what's going on there.
