Please test your issue on a vanilla game
To verify on a vanilla game, move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the following files from your user folder.
- localthumbcache
- Any lastException Files
- Any LastCrash files.
Test a backup of your save as you will loose all cc on the save and see if the same error occurs, then report back.
Also since you choose crashing, does the game actually crash to the desktop.
There is a similar bug report but mods can also play a role in this so you need to test without them.
Was I not supposed to choose crashing? When I save the game, it takes a long time. I'm not even able to move my mods folder at all. There's no lastexecptionfiles or lastcrash files. I don't believe there is a similar bug report, i checked. I think it's just me. I tried restoring my mods from desktop, some mods are gone.

Crashing is for when your game closes to the desktop aka closes by itself.
I was referring to this: Can't make changes to build | EA Forums - 4976886 but for you it could be also just a lag issue
Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post
Please also try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.- crinrict6 months agoHero+
