Unable to place plants onto ground / Visitors will not leave when told
I have updated my game to have all but one of the expansion/stuff packs. I have done the recent updates as of 7/27/24. I tried to fence in my garden to keep other sims from picking my items. As soon as I placed the gate, it put all of my plants into the inventory and will not allow me to place them back onto the ground, stating "needs to be placed on the terrain". The problem being is that it was on terrain and now I cannot place any plants, even when I removed the gate. Not sure why. I also noticed that ever since downloading the most recent pack, I "send everyone home" but the visitors do not leave and continue to eat my food and do whatever activities (including stealing my garden items!). Please help!
@kmbrackman For the garden issue, try removing a section of the fence. The game may count it as a room now. Leave the gate in place. Once you've placed the plants again, create a section of fence equal in length to what you removed, then pick up that section and place it in the gap. This may trick the game into not counting the garden as a room.
I'm not sure why "send everyone home" isn't working, but please test with no mods or custom content, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. You don't need to save your progress.
