Week 3 of event glitch

so ive starting playing the new content for the limited time event, and the task to repair or replace computer seems broken, getting no option to repair/replace only hire repair service who says there are no broken objects on the lot :(( i have tried repairing other objects on the lot/repairing other broken computers on the lot and nothing works: is anyone else having this issue?? was so excited :((

    The only thing I found that worked for me was to put my sims pc outside. Make it rain ( can use weather machine which is under electronics) or just wait until it rains.   Once  it broke again I placed it back inside and had my sims repair.

    Someone mentioned leaving for a few days and it will reset but that didn't work for me.
