What upgrades should I get for my laptop?

Hi! I'm currently thinking of upgrading my laptop. Ideally, I would like to play Sims 4 with Ultra settings and with laptop mode turned off. However, I kinda know that this might not be possible, so at least I'd like to speed up loading times and minimize lags, increase framerate, etc.

I have attached my dxdiag but here's a summary of my specs:

Laptop Model: Dell Inspiron 13-5378
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100U CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM

Video: Intel(R) HD Graphics 620
Available OS Memory: 3966MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 12

A bit more about my laptop's RAM: my laptop has two SODIMM slots came with one 4GB DDR4 stick installed. According to the receipt, the speed is 2400mhz, but task manager said 2133mhz.

Buying a new computer or laptop is out of the question because I've only had this laptop for 3 years now.

I'm currently thinking of just upgrading my laptop RAM to 16GB, but would that be enough? Anything else I should do? Would getting an SSD help at all?

Thank you!

Laptops are not upgradeable except for RAM and in most cases the drive. There is no way you would get Ultra settings as that requires far better graphics and you can not upgrade that. Going from 4GB RAM to 8GB will help some. Getting an SSD if possible will help with load times but the game as such will not be faster. These two upgrades will help other things on your Laptop run better. Going from 8 to 16GB RAM is not worth the cost on this setup.
