Why does it take so long for the Sims to release a pack on Amazon?

As someone who has an Origin account but no credit card, I rely on Amazon to order the PC gamecodes to get the packs released by the Sims 4. The one thing that frustrated me every time is that while everyone on Origin or Steam or Gamestop can easily get their own copy of every pack the day it's released, I am stuck waiting for weeks, sometimes even *months*, before I can get my own copy. And no, I don't want to waste hundreds of dollars to rebuy every pack on Steam.

So can anyone explain to me why EA takes so long to release Sims 4 packs on Amazon? I can't even order a physical copy, I don't have a CD ROM player on my laptop.

  • @HelplessHardy  I've heard from some people who've already bought the new pack on Amazon, but I don't know what countries they're in.  I have no idea why there might be a discrepancy though.

Have you considered buying an EA cash card?  GameStop was selling them the last time I was there.  You'd add the funds to your EA Wallet and then could spend them on any purchase you wanted.

I'm set in the United States, so I figured this might be an American issue.

As for EA cash cards, I never even knew they existed. I don't drive, so I've never been to GameStops before, but I might have to try and find my way to one if that might be the case.

  • I have experienced this as well it seems the game codes that are available are quite random. I wanted Realm of Magic but it wasn't available until just recently.

I was also interested in buying Bowling Night stuff, but that is just not an option right now on Amazon :/
