  • @LisaYang13  Honestly, I'm not sure the game would even start.  This laptop is below the minimum requirements for Sims 4 in a few different ways, and you could only upgrade the memory, not the processor or its integrated graphics chip.

How much money are you willing to spend?  I can try to find something better, although it'll cost more than this laptop.  Let me know, and I'll have a look around.  It looks from the site you linked that you're in the U.S., but if not, please list your country as well.

@LisaYang13  $300 isn't much, at least for a new computer.  I checked a number of different sites, and the only laptops I saw for less than $350 had very weak hardware: fine for browsing the internet and listening to music but not at all for gaming.  The best I could find in a new computer was this one:

    https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/8487843/ASUS-VivoBook-15-Laptop-156-Screen/

Its processor and integrated graphics chip should run Sims 4 on medium or maybe low-medium settings, and it has enough drive space and memory.  It comes with Windows 10 S, meaning it doesn't allow apps to be installed unless they're from the Microsoft Store.  But you could convert it to Windows 10 Home for free, so that's not an issue; you'd just need to remember to do that before installing Origin or Sims 4.

If you're willing to look at Ebay, you could do a lot better.  I did a quick search and saw these two options, both no more than two years old, with graphics cards that would run the game on at least a mix of high and ultra graphics settings.  The key is the graphics card: an Nvidia 1050 is a real gaming GPU, even if entry-level, and it can easily handle the load of Sims 4.  The second is better than the first, but the first is still more than fine.

There are also options with an Nvidia 960M, which is not quite as fast as a 1050 but should still be good enough for high settings.  If you're considering one though, I'd make sure it came with a processor from Intel's 6th generation (e.g. 6700HQ) rather than earlier (e.g. 4720HQ), just because of the relative age.  As an example:

There are always at least a few similar options to these available on Ebay.  It is of course a risk to buy there rather than from a store that certifies its refurbished products, but on the other hand, the price is significantly lower.  If you find some other laptop on Ebay that looks good to you, or from any other store for that matter, feel free to link it for a second opinion.

Hi! Thank you! But, do you recommend the first link laptop more then the rest? If so I can order one! But, if i do, I'm going to need to contact you again with the window 10 and Microsoft problem. I'm not really goof at electronics.

    Thank you!

@LisaYang13  The first one is the only new one I could find for that price that would run the game decently well at all.  If you want a new laptop, it's probably as good as you'll be able to do, unless you want to wait for Black Friday sales.

The used laptops on Ebay are much more powerful, so as long as they're in good working condition, they'd run the game a lot better.  However, there is some risk in buying from Ebay, and I can't tell you whether the potential benefit of playing on high or ultra graphics settings is worth the risk.  That's really your call, and reasonable people can disagree.
